A Short Background of the Microscope Slide

A microscope slide is one of the essential parts of a microscope. A microscope slide is usually made out of glass, bone, or of ivory. During the Victorian era, the microscope slide is known to be an ivory which contains specimen put between two discs of transparent mica. The present standard form of a microscope was introduced by the Royal Microscopical Society of England. Theirs was a thin sheet of glass to hold objects under the examination of the microscope.
